if you’re going to mcm in london this weekend and you’re cosplaying, keep your props hidden or covered appropriately- there was a daylight murder in woolwich today, and it’s very likely there’ll be increased security in public areas. 

The attackers used a machete and knife, and were carrying guns, so any weapon-based props especially should be kept away in bags or covered up. If a policeman or security person does stop you please let them look it over, check the orange plastic safety cap on your toy gun, check that your blade is foam and plywood etc. since they only want to keep everyone safe.
